UPDATE: Crews capture alligator near Tipton

UPDATE: June 25 – 9:15 a.m. – The alligator has since been relocated to Centre Wildlife Care in Port Matilda.

TIPTON, Pa. (WTAJ) — Crews have captured an alligator in the water near Tipton.

It was captured shortly after 7 p.m in a creek near River Road. Officials will work to find a safe place for it to be relocated.

It took crews about 2 hours from the time they first arrived to capture the alligator.
