One person dead after vehicle overturns from hitting tree stump in Huntingdon County

UPDATE 11/28- State Police say that 67-year old Richard Miller of Orbisonia was driving on Old Plank Road in Todd Township on Nov. 26 when he went off the road and hit an embankment then a tree stump before overturning.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene and troopers say he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Three Springs Volunteer Fire Department, Robertsdale-Wood-Broad Top Volunteer Fire Department and Robertsdale-Wood Ambulance Services assisted state police at the scene.


HUNTINGDON COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — One person was killed in a crash in Huntingdon County after being thrown from a vehicle Friday evening.

The crash happened on Old Plank Road in Todd Township. While details are limited, we’re told first responders arrived at the scene and requested a helicopter to transport the person to the hospital. Soon after, the request was canceled and the Huntingdon County coroner was called.

The crash is currently under investigation and the name of the deceased was not released at this time.
