UPDATE: Police presence in Altoona for double homicide

ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — Altoona Police, Logan Township Police, and the Blair County Coroner have all been called to a scene on the 2600 block of Beale Avenue on Thursday morning.

Officials report that the scene on Beale Avenue is being ruled as a double homicide. A man in his 20’s and a woman in her 50’s were both shot. Police did not name a suspect.

They say that this was an isolated incident and there is no danger in the area.

Sergeant Matthew Plummer is asking ANYONE in the area that might have a video security system to please check their footage. They believe the shooting happened between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Thursday, May 28.
