Clothes Free for Taking and for Donating at Clothing Drive

Local News

If you need to get rid of some old clothes Mount Nittany Elementary School and Mount Nittany Middle School are holding their fourth annual clothing drive this weekend.

Mount Nittany Elementary School and Mount Nittany Middle School are asking for donations of all types of clothing on Friday.

You can drop those donations off between 4 and 6 at the front doors of either of those buildings.
At the end of the weekend clothes that haven’t been taken will be given to Goodwill.
Goodwill will then make a donation back to the school district.

“The donation that we make to Goodwill is made and we receive fifteen cents per pound on our donation,” Robin Bastress, Clothing Drive, Volunteer, said.  “The donation that we receive from Goodwill supports our work with “PBIS”, with both Mount Nittany Elementary and Mount Nittany Middle School.”

“PBIS”, or Positive, Behavioral and Intervention Support, is a State College Area School District program that works to help students practice characteristics, like responsibility, organization, attitude and respect.

Clothes will be free for the taking at the elementary school and middle school on Saturday from 10 to 4 and on Sunday from noon to 3.
