A model show in Clearfield is calling all train lovers both young and old. The Clearfield Model Rail Road Club is hosting their annual display.
There will be dozens of handmade displays showing off the member’s collections. The youngest member with a model is just nine years old.
Members say it’s an event for the whole family. “We’re always looking for more folks to show up and see the trains running. It’s great for kids. They absolutely love it. When you get in here and there’s a bunch of little kids, it’s wonderful. It is absolutely wonderful,” says club President Chuck Swenson.
The event is free to the public. It runs Wednesday through Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon at the Christ Methodist Church in Clearfield.
There will be homemade food available upon a donation, and on Saturday a pancake and sausage breakfast will be available. It is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children for the breakfast.
There will be a basket raffle and train set drawing, for those who want to participate. Any profits made from the show will be split between the club and the church.
