LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ)– The condition of a Clearfield County cemetery is causing concerns.

Residents want to see Crown Crest Cemetery in Lawrence Township cleaned up before Memorial Day.

The Clearfield County Commissioners and Lawrence Township Supervisors say they’ve received numerous calls about the state of the cemetery.

They decided to hold a one-time only clean up before Memorial Day.

“We have seen the people out there taking care of their loved one’s graves and we appreciate the work that they’re doing and they’re dedication,” commissioner Tony Scotto said. “We want to help them out because we don’t know the conditions of the land.”

Commissioners say the issue is with the ownership of the cemetery and it will have to be resolved in court.
