Today, Governor Tom Wolf signed legislation that is intended to protect children’s healthcare with state funding.

The bill highlights funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program, also known as CHIP.

Governor Wolf says the program provides coverage to more than 6,000 patients, and added that now it’s time for congress to do its part and contribute more federal dollars, which currently makes up 90 percent of CHIP’s budget.
