A one person is dead after a fiery crash on the Pennsylvania turnpike.

Emergency crews are still on the scene and this section of I-76 east will be closed for hours while investigators try to figure out what caused this deadly crash

State police say  the crash happened just before noon on I -76 eastbound near the 158 mile marker.

They say two tractor trailers crashed, went over the embankment and one of them caught on fire and the driver of that trailer never escaped.

Investigators say the fire was so intense it will be difficult to identify the victim.

They’re waiting to hear back from the truck company, but are not releasing that information to the public.

As for the other driver, police say he suffered minor injuries.

Police say they’ll be here for hours cleaning up the scene

They’re worried one of the trucks might catch on fire again if they move it.

I -76 is closed from the New Stanton exit to the Breezewood exit, so drivers should expect detours.
