Book sale held to benefit Altoona Library

Local News

Do you love to read? Well now is your chance to get some books at a good deal!

Friends of the Altoona library held their used book sale Saturday.

Many paperbacks were going for just $0.25. Along with the books, there were movies, CD’s and vinyl records for sale.

All proceeds benefit the library.

“We enjoy doing it,” Ann Wolf, Chairman of the book sale, said. “We’ll work here all year, come in a couple days every week to sort the books as they come in.  It takes a labor of love we think and we hope everybody loves their books.”

If you missed out on Saturday’s sale, you still have a chance to grab some books.

Monday is the last day with a $5 paper bag sale.
