When you come to Boalsburg on highway 322, you pass by a sign that says, “Boalsburg, Birthplace of Memorial day”, where fallen soldiers have been celebrated since 1864.
The reenactment group fired cannons in honor of the lost. Bagpipes were played to never forget those who sacrificed so much for us.
“It’s a day to remember all the fallen soldiers, that most people just forget about them,” Tuthill said. “It’s good to have a day where we’re all about remembering who they are and what they did.”
