BREAKING NEWS – Bill Higgins, Bedford County’s District Attorney is facing more than 30 charges stemming from a 2014 incident.
Higgins was arraigned in court Wednesday morning where he waived his charges for court.
Court paperwork shows Higgins is being represented by attorney Steven Passarello.
Charges include recklessly endangering another person, intimidation of a witness, and hindering apprehension. His bail was set at $50,000.
According to WTAJ’s archives, a reporter from the Washington Times was investigating Higgins in 2015 for misconduct in office. The “right-to-know request” was denied.
