Beaver County man charged with illegal gambling; criminal conspiracy

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WTAJ) — After an extensive investigation, Attorney General Josh Shapiro, working with the State Police, have arraigned Robert McDanel, 63, on illegal gambling charges.

McDanel provided illegal gambling machines through his business, Mac Vending Company. A total of 118 gambling machines were seized from licensed liquor establishments and a warehouse in Beaver County. It resulted in seizing $3.7 million.

Owners of businesses engaged in illegal gambling, employees assisting in the activities, and distributors of the devices may be subject to criminal charges and/or violations of the liquor code.
