ALTOONA Pa. (WTAJ) — The Altoona Police Department is asking for your help identifying a woman who they say committed an armed robbery in Altoona.

On Wednesday, May 8 at 12:00 a.m. a female suspect walked out of Martin’s on Chestnut Ave., pushing a cart of $300 worth of groceries.

Police say an employee tried to stop the suspect when she pulled a knife and started swinging it.

The suspect then allegedly grabbed a six-pack of soda, and an unknown item then ran away.

She was described as having multiple piercings on her ears and face.

Anyone with information is asked to send a private message to the Altoona Police Department Facebook Page or call their non-emergency phone line at 814-949-2498.
