Altoona closes all playgrounds, play structures

ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — The City of Altoona has closed all playgrounds and play structures in the city during the COVID-19 pandemic and Gov. Wolf’s stay at home order.

Officials in Altoona made the announcement Friday afternoon, and all playgrounds will close immediately.

The parks, trails and green spaces will remain open to the public for social distancing type use.
