A school ran out of paper, and a grandparent stepped in

Local News

Az., (WTAJ) — There’s just a little under 2 months left of this school year, but we’ll tell you what one school in Arizona doesn’t have left … paper!

So one man decided to come to the rescue.

When Walter Buse noticed his grandson had stopped bringing homework home, he asked the school why and was told they had used up their paper supply for the year.

Officials say the shortage was due to a lack of funding and a limited budget. So Buse went shopping and dropped off a shipment of paper at the school.

“You’d think I carried in a basket of gold the way they acted at the office so I knew it was appreciated,” Buse said.

He’s hoping others in the district will step up and do the same, so the kids don’t fall behind.
