Bellefonte, Pa- Monday a sixth beta theta pi brother plead guilty to a crime from the night of pledge Timothy Piazza’s death.
23-year old Michael Schiavone, in an open plea, plead guilty to conspiracy to commit furnishing alcohol to minors.
Schiavone was Beta’s social chairman and in charge of the fraternity’s slush fund which police say was used to purchase alcohol for the 2017 spring fraternity rush.
Police say Schiavone coordinated over 1-thousand dollars in alcohol purchases in just over a week’s time before the rush.
Schiavone’s sentencing is scheduled for December 13th.
