Bellefonte, Centre County, Pa- Tuesday, the 17th former Penn State Beta Theta Pi brother plead guilty to actions connected to the night of pledge Timothy Piazza’s death.

Tuesday’s guilty plea means only a few of fraternity brothers are still facing charges.

Sow how many remain?

There are three brothers facing trial in the Penn State Fraternity Hazing Case.

Michael Bonatucci was the 17th former Beta Theta Pi brother to plead guilty to hazing and alcohol related charges connected to the night of pledge Timothy Piazza’s death.

None of the brothers sentenced thus far have received jail time.

The three who are left plan to head to trial.

They include Pledge Master Daniel Casey and fraternity President Brendan Young. Police have identified both as part of fraternity leadership in the 2017 spring semester, including the night of Piazza’s death.

The other brother, House Manager Braxton Becker is accused of deleting the basement video from the night of Piazza’s death… video which was later recovered.

Becker has charges of tampering with evidence and obstruction held over for trial. So far, no date has been set for that case.

The trial for the former fraternity President and Pledge Master is scheduled to begin April, 3.
