Kellogg has issued a voluntary recall on a number of snack items.
These snacks may contain peanut residue that wasn’t listed on the packaging.
The recalled product brands include several Kellogg and Keebler snacks, as well as Famous Amos, Mother’s and Murray cookies.
Kellogg advises consumers with severe peanut allergies to avoid the recalled items, but that the amount of peanut exposure is low and is not expected to cause health affects in the majority of people with peanut allergies.
Giant Food Stores and Martin’s Food Markets announced that they removed the recalled products from shelves in stores.
Kellogg is asking that people who purchased affected products to discard them and contact the company for a full refund.
