Inside Penn State’s “War Room” on Signing Day

It is all about the details.

Penn State football held a celebration of sorts Wednesday morning on the early National Signing Day for high school football players across the country. The “war room” including an NFL style draft board complete with NFL Draft sound effects.

The room included a Christmas tree decorated with photos of Penn State signees.

Coach James Franklin would Facetime (video chat) with each signee throughout the day after the player put pen to paper.

Penn State will hold a press conference at 3:15 p.m. revealing its signing class so far. The class could still pick up players on the late signing period which starts on Feb. 6 and finishes on April 1.
