Centre County, Pa. (WTAJ) — Starting Monday, one lane will be closed on I-99 South in Centre County between Bellefonte and the greater State College area
PennDOT crews will be installing cable median barriers, which they say will hopefully limit head-on collisions.
The left lane will be closed right before the 322-East exit on I-99 South.
The road will open up to two lanes five miles down the road, just before the Waddle Road exit.
There’s no exact timeline on how long construction for this project will take.
PennDOT crews will eventually install the same barrier on Route 322 between the Park Avenue exit, and Boalsburg.
