A small demonstration was held outside of the Clearfield County courthouse Wednesday. The group wants to see harsh punishment for a couple accused of abusing their infant daughter.
Aaron Mills and Stephanie McGuire were originally scheduled to be in court for a preliminary hearing. That was postponed but the rally went on as planned.
Organizers held signs in support of baby Lily Jane, while also urging prosecutors to go after a life sentence.
The parents of the four-week-old child are facing various assault and drug charges. Doctors found the girl with two broken legs, a broken rib, and internal injuries.
The people at the rally say they are speaking up for a child who couldn’t defend herself.
They plan to be back at the courthouse when Mills and McGuire appear in court on March 15.
