A fire near DuBois destroyed several storage units this morning.

It hapepned around 11:30 a.m. at Connor Storage in the 1200 block of S. Brady Street.

Fire Chief Bill Beers say he showed up to find a working fire in one section of the business.

Fire Marshal Matt Powell says the blaze brought about seven units to the ground, and some near the fire were also damaged.

Backed-up traffic slowed business at a nearby car wash.

“It’s affecting the business here. No one’s coming in to wash their car,” says neighboring business owner’s son Jared Manners. “There’s always people, there would be cars there, washing their cars today.”

While we were there, firefighters sprayed foam to try to tamp down hot spots.

Co-owner Scott “Buzz” Connor says he has 25 units total and his wife was busy calling their customers.

The cause is under investigation.
