Fire department building damaged after crash

UPDATE 7/2: According to state police, an elderly driver had a medical episode when trying to park in the department lot.

The driver drove through the bay door and struck a truck and freight-liner before coming to a stop.

The driver was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center. No injuries were reported and no charges will be filed.

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Howard Fire Department is heavily damaged after a crash on Monday night.

Details are limited at this time, however there are boards covering the area where a garage door used to be. We will continue to update you as more information becomes available.
