A local company is expanding internet service to rural homes.
“In The Styx Broadband” is currently serving 800 customers in the county along with parts of Somerset, Indiana and Blair counties.
About 10 residents showed up for meeting Monday night at Central Cambria High School to find out what areas of the community still don’t have access to broadband.
Robert Dillon is a co-owner of the company, says “our goal is to serve underserved, find people that cant get service and help them out, some of us have been in that situation so we know how that feels. We feel passionate about doing everything we can to help those that need it.”
“In The Styx” customers pay $45 a month to download 3 megabits of data per second.
