A former Hope Fire Company firefighter set for a two-day trial on arson charges instead entered an open plea in court this morning.

Kenneth Moore IV, 20, Lanse, is now set to be sentenced at a later date.

Moore and two other firemen set a blaze last October at a Chester Hill home that was being renovated.

The firehouse is in nearby Philipsburg. Moore’s been free on $50,000 unsecured bail in the case.
