A Mount Union, Huntingdon County family gets a second chance to get back on their feet, thanks to volunteers.
Neighbors, businesses, family and friends all pitched in Saturday to help Alex Hall, along with his wife and daughter find a new home.
Their Mount Union home burned July 27, leaving them with nothing.
“Living it day by day, keep pushing through,” Hall said.
Since 7 a.m., volunteers were on hand installing a new HVAC system, providing plumbing repairs, and fixing up the front porch of Hall’s grandparents vacant home on their dairy farm.
“We all just felt like it’s something we’d want somebody to do to us and just kind of pay it forward,” Jared Taylor, a friend and co-worker of Hall said.
Many donations came from a variety of vendors from across Central PA.
Volunteers plan on spending several weekends fixing up the home for Hall and his family.
