CDC declares romaine lettuce is now safe

It’s safe to eat romaine lettuce again.

U.S. health officials declared an end to the outbreak of E. coli infections linked to romaine from California.

The outbreak sickened 62 people in 16 states and Washington D.C.  between October and December. The CDC says the contaminated lettuce should no longer be available in stores or restaurants.
