A basketball league for kids in Centre County is celebrating 25 seasons this year.
Hoops at Our Lady of Victory encourages and teaches kids from kindergarten through 6th grade how to play basketball.
There are more than 350 kids involved with the program and they play games every Saturday.
We caught up with director of Hoops at OLV who says the program is here thanks to one special person.
“We owe a big round of applause or a big thanks for Mike Morris,” said Jeffrey Peters. “He used to coach for the Penn State men’s basketball team, he was the one that actually started this league so, if it weren’t for him we wouldn’t be here today, and that’s a great thing.”
Hoops at OLV is holding their last league game next Saturday.
Anyone is welcome to sign up and join the league.
