Sunday:

Penelec estimates the earliest power could be restored to parts of the downtown Altoona area could be mid-day Monday.

Crews are still working to pinpoint the affected areas.

Blair dispatch said this all started with an electrical problem underground. That fire underground is contained at this time.

Penelec is still working to test areas so they can tell what is being affected. Folks should expect possible blackouts for the time being, even if your power is back on now.

There is no threat to public safety.
