AG office raids home, files child porn charges

News
According to court documents, Richard Vanbrakle, has lived in Cresson for the last nine months and has downloaded child pornography.

WTAJ was told that on May 2 agents from the Attorney General’s office were conducting an online investigation of a network  of offenders that shared child porn.

The AG’s office downloaded five files from an IP address, each sexually exposed young girls.  Most of the girls were under the age of 12.

The criminal complaint shows that the AG’s office tracked down where the IP address came from.  The name associated with it was Vanbrakle’s girlfriend.

When police raided the house earlier Wednesday Vanbrakle voluntarily admitted to agents that he uses the internet for child porn.  He was advised of his rights and chose not to have an attorney present when he told agents that it’s not an age thing it’s how the children look.  He also told them that he downloads child pornography three to four times a week and has hid it from his girlfriend.

The criminal complaint says he views pictures and videos.  He then deletes the photos and videos from a laptop.

The AG’s office was present Wednesday along with Cresson Township Police, and state police.
