4th grader holds community food drive

For the third straight year Joey Swentosky, fourth grader at Benner Elementary, School is holding a food drive.  People donated more than one-hundred pounds of food for his last food drive.  This year he hopes to collect over three hundred pounds.

Joey says he wants to help people to make them feel good.

“It’s important to me, because I think that everybody deserves to have the same benefits or same amount that everybody else has,” Joey, said.

From now through Sunday you can drop off non-perishable food items and toiletries at Benner Elementary, Pizza Mia in Bellefonte, Owen’s Cuts in Bellefonte, the Bellefonte Elks Lodge or at Bellefonte Little League.
 
Next week Joey and his family will deliver the donated food to Faith Centre Food Bank in Bellefonte.
