Three people are dead and multiple people injured in Maryland shooting.
WJZ, a CBS station in Baltimore, reported that multiple people have been shot near Spesutia Road and Perryman Road in Harford County, near Aberdeen, Maryland, just Northeast of Baltimore.
The shooting happened just after 9 a.m. Thursday in a warehouse complex in Perryman, a neighborhood off Route 40. The number of victims and the severity of their injuries is unconfirmed at this time. According to WJZ, three people are dead.
ATF and FBI are reportedly also on the scene.
Drivers in the area are being asked to avoid the area, as the area is still active. There could be traffic and delays due to road closures.
Flares are set up across Spesutia Road. Part of the road is closed and crime tape is marking the closure.
Some schools in the area have been placed on lockdown, and Maryland Governor Larry Hogan said he is closely monitoring the situation.
The shooter is in custody and in critical condition at a local hospital. No shots were fired by police at the scene.
Police do not believe there is still a threat to the Harford County community.
The investigation is ongoing.
