Tuesday, May 15, just got a little bit sweeter — it’s National Chocolate Chip Day.

Chocolate chip cookies are credited to Ruth Graves Wakefield, who worked at Toll House in the 1930s.

It all started when Wakefield put chopped up pieces from a Nestle chocolate bar in a cookie recipe. She was awarded chocolate for life.
