A sports complex that’s seven years in the making, will be opening in Centre County.

The Nittany Valley Sports Centre is planning to open February 18. The 70,000 square-foot complex will feature a turf field along with hardwood courts for volleyball and basketball.

The building will also house a 16,000 square-foot gymnastics training center, which will be home to Centre Elite Gymnastics and the Parisis Speed School, a speed and agility training center.

“The foundation of the facility is youth sports, that being said we are looking to fill the facility with you and adults,” General Manager and Primary Owner Michael Lee said, and went on to say, “We’re looking to service anywhere from toddlers, up through the latest age of adults.”

The facility will provide between 40 and 50 permanent jobs, with additional part-time positions, such as referees for sporting events.
