A Centre County jury found Matthew Dreibelbis guilty of murder Wednesday night.
A cellphone forensic expert told the court that he recovered several text messages from Dreibelbis’s phone, including some messages that referenced needing to “shoot” or “kill him.”
Prosecutors argued the person Dreibelbis was referring to was Jeremy Cantolina, the husband of a woman he was having an affair with, who was found murdered by a gunshot.
According to officials in the DA’s office, Dreibelbis was found guilty of that crime soon after closing arguments. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
