Learn how to create calligraphy in Centre County

STATE COLLEGE. Pa. (WTAJ) — Modern calligraphy is sweeping social media, and weddings everywhere.

You’re invited to learn how to do it at a workshop on Thursday, May 23 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Makery in State College

You’ll learn why calligraphy is so different from cursive, how to make your ABCs, and how to turn them into words

Use your skills to create your own wedding invitations, art for your friends, and much more.

This workshop includes:

  • -A 1 to 2-hour calligraphy lesson in an intentionally small class setting.
  • -All necessary supplies for your experience and ongoing practice, including a pen, ink, nib, paper.
  • -Snacks and sips.
  • -Contact info to ask questions and get future help on projects.
