A criminal homicide charge has been filed against East Pittsburgh police officer Michael Rosfeld in the fatal shooting of 17 year old Antwon Rose Jr.

That’s according to our Pittsburgh affiliate KDKA.

Protests have been growing across the city and the country, calling for charges to be filed.

The shooting happened last Tuesday, after a car Rose was riding in was stopped by police because it matched the description of a car involved in a drive-by shooting.  Rose, who was not armed, ran from police and that’s when Rosfeld shot him.

The Allegheny County District Attorney will be holding a news conference at 11 am.
