BELLEFONTE, CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Another Beta Theta Pi brother has had his jail sentence reduced.

Luke Visser, of California, was originally sentenced to 2 to 6 months in the Centre County Jail, but had his sentence reduced today to 45 days of house arrest.

There are still three brothers who are awaiting trial.

Theodore Simon, Visser’s attorney, released the following statement:

Today, the Hon. Brian K. Marshall after a searching inquiry into the facts of this case and the person of Luke Visser ruled in favor of Mr. Visser’s Motion to Modify Sentence. The Court vacated the previous ruling and imposed a non-incarceration sentence of of 45 days home confinement.  We are appreciative of the Court’s willingness to  consider our arguments and thankful to the Court for its demonstration of judicial independence.”
