A major U.S. burger chain wants to win over vegetarians.
Burger King is testing out a spin on its famous whopper.
The “Impossible Burger” is planted-based and will be tested out at 59 locations in and around St. Louis.
If all goes well, the veggie burger could be rolled out nation-wide.
The Impossible Whopper has less calories that the original beef-based burger, and it’s also low in cholesterol and has zero trans fat.
It’ll cost about $1 more. Burger King’s Chief Marketing Officer tells the New York Times his team struggled to differentiate between the veggie and beef burger.
