The H.P. Hood Dairy Company is credited with creating the first commercially successful frozen yogurt back in 1970.
Frozen Yogurt really took off a decade later, when a chain called TCBY started selling the treat in a soft-serve variety, rather than in scoops or popsicles, and frozen yogurt remains popular.
