Google is making a big statement; the tech giant is committed to growing its New York operations.
Monday, the company announced plans to invest $1 Billion into improvements at its new campus.
Google Hudson Square is actually three buildings on Hudson and Washington Streets and will serve as the primary home for the company’s global business organization.
Google estimates a move in date of 2020 for part of the 1.7 million square foot campus. Earlier this year, the company bought the Manhattan Chelsea Market for $2.4 Billion to continue to grow its New York workforce.
Currently about 7,000 people work for Google in New York City.
