School may be out for summer, but for some, that means going to summer school. Barron Whited, an Agora Cyber Charter School Guidance Counselor explains how you can help keep your kid motivated during those summer months.
Helping Kids in Summer School
As the school year comes to a close, some kids may have to repeat a course over the summer. Others may choose to get ahead by earning extra credits toward their diploma. Summer can be a challenging time to take classes due to the warm weather, friends and family with free time, and difficulties in staying motivated. Kids will find that summer courses move at faster pace and will need to stay organized to keep up with the course work.
Here are some tips to help your children in school over the summer:
1. Attend & Participate in Class
2. Establish Homework Schedule
3. Keep Organized
4. Schedule Fun Time
5. Stay Positive
