Meet Meghan Sinisi, an Altoona native who is hoping to represent Pennsylvania at the Miss America Pageant!
Meghan is a 2013 graduate of Altoona Area High School, where she was a majorette and won Homecoming Queen in 2012, representing the majorettes. She is a 2017 graduate of Syracuse University where she was the “Orange Girl” feature baton twirler for the marching bad. She’s performed at a number of events including Syracuse football, basketball, lacrosse, field hockey and volleyball games as well as multiple NFL games including Super Bowl XLVII. She started twirling at 3-years-old and started competing in the Miss America Organization in the Spring of 2015 during her time as a student in New York. She has held the titles of Miss Liberty 2015, Miss Syracuse 2016 and 2018 Miss Central NY, placing second runner up in 2016. She’s now looking to represent her home state after being crowned Miss Laurel Highlands 2018 at Miss America.
Meghan works to promote a personal platform to inspire autism acceptance title, “From A Perspective”. Her vision by capturing both crowns is to share her message of love and acceptance across the nation. She’s currently a member of the AmeriCorpos National Service program as the Community Outreach Coordinator for the United Way of Blair County, and is aspiring to return to school for her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
