Helping Students Cope Winter Blues
As students return back to the classes for the second half of the school year, they may be getting the “itch” for the warmer weather of spring. They may encounter the restlessness of spending too much time indoors called “Winter Blues.” With limited amounts of sunlight, cold temperatures and being enclosed within the four walls of their learning environment, students may find themselves struggling during the winter months. Here are some tips for parents to help their student cope with Winter Blues:
1. Encourage Time with Friends/Family
2. Increase Physical Activities Daily
3. Attend School Events
4. Learn New Hobbies
5. Write Journals
