USA Today recently outlined some common-sense strategies to help you make better decisions and save money.

One of the ways to be aware of all the little ways you’re spending everyday. That could be anything for that cup of coffee on the way to work, to buying lunch everyday.

Taken separately, they don’t seem like big expenses, but add the over a week, month of even longer and what you’re spending can be big.

If you’re able to save even $100 a month, or more, that can help you take the pressure off other areas of your finances where you’re feeling the squeeze.

Another area of small payments that can add up? Monthly subscriptions.

Streaming music, online video games are just two examples of services that can cost more than you realize over time, especially if you’re not making full use of them.
