After being stranded on the tracks for a day and a half, an Amtrak train finally pulled into Eugene, Oregon yesterday.
The Coast Starlight Train 11 was carrying 183 passengers from Seattle to Los Angeles when it got stuck near Oakridge Sunday evening.
It hit a tree that had fallen on the tracks.
Amtrak says it kept passengers on the train because the power was out and roads were blocked in Oakridge due to heavy snow.
Some passengers complained about Amtrak’s communication during the ordeal, but others seemed to be taking the experience in stride. There were no accidents.
