Reported by Meteorologist Regina Miller
There will be clouds building for the afternoon in eastern zones as a front approaches sparking scattered showers and a chance for thunder as well. Tonight we’ll have some lingering showers possible with areas of fog and low temperatures in the low to mid 50s. Tomorrow we will have a mixture of clouds and sunshine. There will still be spots that see a stray shower or thunderstorm, however of all the days in the forecast, Thursday is slightest chance for a shower or storm this week. Unfortunately we have very few days that we can say will be rain-free in the forecast. Any day there is at least a slight chance for a shower, with some days more than others. Besides Thursday, the best chance at a dry day looks to be next Monday. Friday will bring a stray shower or storm with several locations missed. The most active days for showers and perhaps a storm will be Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will start to warm up to at least closer to seasonal averages for late July and early August. They should finally reach 80 or better this weekend. By next week temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s. We’ll have partly sunny skies on Monday, and a mixture of clouds and sun for Tuesday with a slight chance for a stray shower or storm.
