Morning Forecast, Thursday April 6, 2017

This morning temperatures will be in the 40s to 50s with some showers. A potent low pressure system will be moving across our region today. This will bring us a cloudy sky with times of rain. At times we will have heavy downpours. We also could have a few gusty thunderstorms. Please use caution as you commute there will be low visibility and some slick roadways. Winds from the southeast will also make the air feel cooler. Winds today will be from ten to fifteen miles an hour but within a thunderstorm they can be much higher. Tonight we will continue to have showers with low temperatures falling into the upper 30s to lower 40s.

 

Friday behind the low pressure system, temperatures will plummet. We will have high temperatures in the mid to upper 40s early then they will tumble throughout the entire day. This will allow showers to switch to snow showers in higher elevations. This will create some icy roadways, take your time if you are traveling on Friday. It will be very blustery on Friday making the air feel even colder. Winds on Friday will be from the northwest between fifteen to twenty miles an hour with gusts even higher. Friday night snow showers will taper off to flurries. We will have a cloudy sky with low temperatures falling into the lower to mid 30s.

 

Saturday will also be a chilly day with high temperatures in the mid to upper 40s. Winds on Saturday will be from the northwest between ten to fifteen miles an hour. We will have some lingering flurries early Saturday before clouds break for some peeks of sunshine by the afternoon. Saturday night we will have patchy clouds with low temperatures falling into the lower to mid 30s. Sunday a ridge of high pressure will move in. This will bring us a mostly sunny to partly cloudy sky. Sunshine along with a southwesterly wind will help temperatures rebound. Our high temperatures on Sunday will be from the lower to mid 60s. Winds will be sustained between five to ten miles an hour. Sunday night our low temperatures will fall into the lower to mid 40s with a partially clear sky.

 

Monday will also be a dry day with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Temperatures will soar on Monday. We will have high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Winds on Monday will be from the southwest between five to ten miles an hour, which will usher in this warmer air. Our average high temperatures this time in April are in the mid to upper 50s and we will be well above that on Monday and Tuesday. Monday night we will have low temperatures in the lower to mid 50s with a  partially clear sky. Tuesday there will be times of clouds and sunshine. Winds on Tuesday will be from the southwest between ten to fifteen miles an hour. Our high temperatures on Tuesday will be in the lower to mid 70s. Tuesday night we will have variable cloudiness with low temperatures in the lower to mid 50s. Wednesday we could have a stray shower or two. Otherwise we will be partly cloudy. Our high temperatures on Wednesday will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s. The rest of next week high temperatures will be in the mid to upper 60s.
