Penn State - Pitt Gameday Forecast

The weather should be improved for Penn State's second game.

Hello Nittany Nation,

The weather for the first home game from the season was a little bit from the norm for a usual Penn State home opener with clouds, some rain and temperatures no higher than the middle 50s. This second game will be a lot more comfortable. There should be no significant travel issues heading to the stadium on Saturday. Temperatures will rise from the 50s to the lower 60s for the pregame tailgates. There will be a little bit of a breeze so make sure you bring a weight for the napkins. Temperatures will be in the lower 60s for the kickoff with a mix of clouds and sunshine. This is the kind of temperature that will still feel cool under the stands and in the shade, but the 60s can feel quite comfortable if not warm in the sun. There is a slight chance for a sprinkle or two during the game but is should not be a concern for the fans in the stands or the players on the field. The weather will stay comfortable for the post game tailgates though you may need a light jacket as temperatures will drop back into the 50s.
