Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton
A few showers will finish moving through during the early hours of Sunday. Areas of fog will develop early Sunday morning with temperatures starting in the mid 50s to around 60°. The fog will lift as we go through Sunday and clouds will break for a little sunshine, but we could still see a few showers in the afternoon. Keep in mind that some of the showers that develop in the Laurel Highlands and Northern Tier may produce some rumbles of thunder. High temperatures will be in the mid 70s for the Northern Tier and Laurel Highlands, while the valleys will get into the upper 70s and near 80°. Humid air will be around for the first part of the week, with a mix of clouds and sunshine and a few showers or thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s Monday and Tuesday across the region. Another disturbance will move into Western and Central PA for Wednesday and Thursday, bringing showers and thunderstorms to much of the region each day. High temperatures Wednesday will be in the low to mid 80s, but Thursday may have some locations in the upper 70s. Slightly cooler air will move in later in the week, with a mix of clouds and sunshine as we wrap up the week.
